Alex Jamieson’s recent presentation at our annual American Heart Association volunteer and staff conference not only gave us a glimpse of the making of the film, “Supersize Me,” it also delivered a big helping of inspiration – with a dash of humor. Feedback from our attendees was glowing, and we walked out of the room with a much better understanding of how the foods we eat affect our overall health. Needless to say, Alex reinforced the importance of our organization’s work: to provide the public with the tools they need to make healthy lifestyle choices. We recommend Alex to any group looking for a new perspective on a topic that couldn’t be timelier!

Ms. Jamieson was able to educate while delivering an entertaining
lecture. Her knowledge of health and nutrition encourages discussion and questions among the audience.

"At the risk (and fear) of sounding totally unoriginal, Alex is a pleasure to work with. Her presentation is informative, entertaining, funny and at the heart of it forces you to ask questions about yourself. And unlike some guest speakers, her presentation is more of a discussion than a lecture. The students loved it! The first thing I did after the lecture was run out to the supermarket and buy all of her suggested 'Healthy Snacks for the University Crowd' and I suggest you do the same!"
~Patrick Wallace, Program Coordinator, Rutgers University – Camden
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and informative presentation. The students loved it! You did a fantastic job making the material accessible, relevant, and entertaining. Your examples were connected to students lives and your ideas were actually doable! I had a number of students comment on your presentation the next week in class saying that it was a great way for them to personally act on the ideas in Fast Food Nation and the film SuperSize Me. We wish you the best in your future pursuits. Students across the US need to hear your message. The health of nation depends on it.
