As a holistic health counselor and personal chef, Alexandra Jamieson works with individual clients all over the world, offering personalized recommendations and support while integrating appropriate food choices with lifestyle options. Having graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Alexandra was attracted to a path of study to learn how to heal with food, positive lifestyle changes and complimentary medicine because of her own battles with sugar addiction, fatigue, migraines, and candidiasis.
As a gourmet natural foods chef Alexandra Jamieson is dedicated to creating healthy delicious food and providing convenient, time saving services for her clients. Having graduated from New York City’s Natural Gourmet Cookery School, Alexandra began cooking professionally in Milan, Italy. Working under Chef Mohamed Tourkey, Alexandra expanded her skills creating regional, vegan, macrobiotic and seasonal organic menus. Her past clients have required specialized food planning with cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, infertility, wheat and other food allergies.
Returning to New York City in 2001, Chef Alexandra Jamieson worked as the pastry chef at Other Foods, one of the city’s finest organic restaurants. As the vegetarian chef at Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Chef Jamieson spent the summer of 2002 offering up healthy, fun foods for the staff, volunteers and kids to who attended this camp for children with life-threatening illnesses.
Having appeared on Oprah, The Final Word, 30 Days, The National Health Test with Bryant Gumble and the award-winning documentary Super Size Me, Alex is getting the word out about holistic nutrition and healthy living! Her new book “The Great American Detox Diet” (Rodale, 2005) offers sane, tasty advice on how to clean out, feel great and live healthfully. |
